Inside Out Landscaping is a design-build and maintenance company specializing in creating and improving awesome indoor-outdoor living spaces.

We are currently expanding both our garden maintenance and garden install divisions and seeking ambitious professionals to join our team. We are fulfilling Lead positions, Intermediate Skilled positions and Entry-level gardener positions.

This is a great opportunity to put to use and develop garden design and landscaping skills, plant knowledge and management skills.

GARDENER CAREER PATH

ATTITUDE REQUIREMENTS

  • Be proactive and offer solutions when problems arise.
  • Offer coaching and training to subordinate positions.
  • Continue education in-house and via industry resources.
  • Ensure projects and maintenance routes keep to production schedules.
  • Lead by example by working hard and staying positive.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Verified employment eligibility and enrollment onto payroll.
  • Appropriate work boots, clothing and uniforms.
  • Successful onboarding and training.
  • Abide by Inside Out company Handbook and Safety Policies.
  • Meet all requirements of previous job descriptions.

GARDENER

PAY RATE: $18-$22

MAINTENANCE

  • Safely load and unload vehicles.
  • Keep vehicles and warehouse organized and clean.
  • Detailed garden clean up and care.
  • Mow, edge, aerate lawns.
  • Rake, blow, sweep and tidy.
  • Collect and remove green waste and debris.

INSTALLATION

  • Safely load and unload vehicles.
  • Site protection, demolition, removal.
  • Dig, level, grade, and prep site for finish levels.
  • Move materials and do heavy lifting.
  • Great listening skills, can-do attitude, efficient work ethic.

SKILLED GARDENER

PAY RATE: $23-$27

MAINTENANCE

  • Trim, prune and shape plants for health and appearance.
  • Diagnose and treat pests, fungus, and disease.
  • Plant and lawn fertilization.
  • Coach Gardeners to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Drip systems, sprinkler systems, low voltage lighting systems.
  • Intermediate plant identification.

INSTALLATION

  • Set levels and prepare site per plans and/or instruction from Lead Gardener.
  • Edging, gravel, mulching, weed barrier, and other “softscaping”.
  • Master proper planting and fertilization techniques.
  • Drip systems, sprinkler systems, low voltage lighting systems.
  • Intermediate plant placement/design, and layout abilities.
  • Big plus: carpentry, hardscape, and masonry skills.

LEAD GARDENER

PAY RATE: $28-$32 + PRODUCTION INCENTIVES

MAINTENANCE

  • Optimize production schedule for efficiency.
  • Think multiple steps ahead to save time and money.
  • Dictate to crew what to load on truck based on production schedule.
  • Recognize design aesthetic of gardens and offer ideas for upsells.
  • Monitor vehicles and equipment for repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure gardens are thriving and earn referrals from existing clients.
  • Delegate tasks, supervise, and coach crew members for skills and knowledge improvement.

INSTALLATION

  • Design and install drip systems, sprinkler systems, outdoor lighting systems.
  • Demonstrate proper project layout, plan interpretation and adherence to plans and timelines.
  • Offer solutions when problems arise.
  • Seek clarification/decisions from client and/or designer as needed.
  • Calculate and order materials in advance to maintain production.
  • Wide range of advanced installation construction skills.
  • Complete required paperwork in a timely organized manner.
  • Lead, and train employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frame.

PRODUCTION MANAGER

PAY RATE: SALARY 60K-80K + PRODUCTION INCENTIVES

MAINTENANCE

  • Answer all emails and client inquiries within one business day.
  • Coordinate special requests and complaints to be resolved promptly.
  • Design maintenance routes and assign accounts to crews.
  • Set production schedules for all crews and lead production meetings.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees in subordinate positions.
  • Ensure successful onboarding and training for new hires.
  • Contract new clients and update Master Client lists.
  • Update and utilize CRM.

INSTALLATION

  • Ensure crews are hitting or performing under budget (hours and materials).
  • Give performance evaluations and make suggestions for raises/promotions.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings with Designer, client, and Lead Gardener.
  • Keep production and customer satisfaction high.
  • Provide samples of materials and plants to obtain decisions while keeping design aesthetic and quality top priorities.
  • Seek clarification/decisions from client and/or designers when needed.
  • Coordinate plant orders/deliveries and ensure quality of materials.
  • Process Change Orders.
  • Utilize and update CRM.
